Wales hosts Croatia
Wales hosts Croatia at the Cardiff City Stadium in a qualifying game for Euro 2020 from Group E. This match looks really interesting, so let’s explore it during our soccer matches tomorrow.
Wales do not have much time to improve and possibly secure a place in the next European championship. Right now the Dragons are 4th in this group with 7 points won, being two points behind the third Hungary. Clearly the British side needs as much points as they can win until the end of the campaign. Right now their record goes like this: two wins, one draw and two losses.
Few days ago Wales travelled to Trnava with the hope of beating Slovakia, but they only won a point after a 1-1 draw. At halftime the Dragons had the lead, because of Kieffer Moore’s goal in the 25th minute. He scored after an assist from Manchester United’s new ace Daniel James.
Sadly for the Welsh side, in the 53th minute Slovakia managed to equalise, when Juraj Kucka put the ball behind Wayne Hennessey’s back.
Croatia on the other hand will play to strenghten their position as the group’s leader. Right now the World Cup finalists are topping the group with 13 points, having three points lead in front of the second Slovakia.
Few days ago the Croats hosted Hungary in Split and pleased the fans with a confident 3-0 win. Luka Modric opened the score for Croatia after just five minutes of playing, while Bruno Petkovic shined with two goals in the Hungarian net. In the 56th minute it got even easier for the hosts, because Hungary’s Laszlo Kleinheisler was sent off.
In our soccer matches tomorrow we believe that it’s going to be a marvelous game between Wales and Croatia in Cardiff. Both teams have what to play for, so we expect to see them fully motivated to win.
