Valencia faces Krasnodar

In a first leg from the 1/8-finals of the Europa League, Valencia faces Krasnodar at the Estadio Mestalla. Let’s take a look in our winning soccer predictions for today.

Valencia entered Europa League after finishing third in their Champions League group. In the 1/16-finals of the competition Los Che faced the Scottish giants Celtic and enjoyed two wins over the Brits. After a comfortable 2-0 win at the Celtic Park in Glasgow, Marcelino’s boys finished the job at the Mestalla with another 1-0 win. The French striker Kevin Gameiro scored the only goal in the game 20 minutes before the end of the match.

For Valencia it has been a strange season so far. Los Che are currently 7th in the Spanish league, having made 15 draws from the beginning of the campaign. Despite of this, Valencia look like a team which can make a solid impression in Europe this season.

Krasnodar on the other hand faced a very tough challenge at the 1/16-finals, meeting Bayer Leverkusen. After a 0-0 draw in Krasnodar, the Russian team made a 1-1 draw at the Bay Arena and progressed towards the 1/8-final. The crucial goal on German soil was scored by Magomed Suleymanov just 6 minutes before the end of the game. Few minutes later the Germans equalised, but they were unable to score the second goal they needed.

In our winning soccer predictions for today we can conclude that Valencia are favourites against Krasnodar, but the Russian side have some solid chances, too. They were underdogs against Bayer Leverkusen, too, but managed to eliminate the Germans from the competition. Valencia must be at the top of their game, because they have a good opponent against them. It’s going to be a really interesting clash.
