Two elite teams have fallen from the French Cup, Marseille continues

The first matches of the 1/16-Cup finals of France did not go without surprises. Nancy and Toulouse dropped out of the race and another League 1 player, Caen, survived after penalties. Olympiacos Marseille, however, did not have similar problems and won with the 2: 0 third division Epinal.

The most dramatic was the duel between Nantes and Auxerre. Claudio Ranieri’s team lost by 0: 3 to 34th minute, but in the middle of the second half the canaries were already leveling. A bit later Lucas Lima of the hosts received a direct red card and it was fatal because in the 76th minute Ibrahim Sandage ranked Auxerre for the 1/8 finals.
The Bourgeois-Peronas division has managed Toulouse and after a 2: 0 victory is continuing in the next phase. Former striker of CSKA Sofia Kevin Kubemba was the host for the hosts and the goals scored by John Curt and Julien Bege.

Caen brother, a big shame against the five-eyed Kane Roussillon. In regular time and extra time, the score was 1: 1, but in the penalty shootout, League 1’s representative was 4: 3.
Marseille did not surprise her at Epinal, although she found the result only in the 73rd minute thanks to Valer Germen. The final 2: 0 formed Morgan Sanson in the added time.

Tomorrow will play another 7 games of the 1/16-finals, including the Monaco Lyon derby.
