Spartak Trnava – Crvena Zvezda

Spartak Trnava hosts Crvena Zvezda in a second leg from the 3rd qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League. Let’s see what’s going on with these two teams in our predictions football 1×2.

Crvena Zvezda were favourites before the first match in Belgrade, but it surprisingly ended with a 1-1 draw, which makes Spartak a slight favourite for the second leg. El Mohamed Ben opened the score for Crvena Zvezda with a well executed penalty in the 23’, but just one minute later Spartak equalized with a strike from Erik Grendel.

Until the end of the game both teams had some opportunities to score, but after all the match ended with this result – 1-1.

Now it won’t be easy for Crvena Zvezda in Trnava. They had the chance to gain some advantage at home, but they blew it. Now Spartak are the team who can dictate what’s happening, with a vital away goal being scored in Belgrade. But it’s far from over, of course.

Let’s see how these two sides are doing in their domestic leagues.

Spartak are 6th in the Slovakian Super Liga after four rounds being played. They have won two of their matches so far – against Zlate Moravce and Zemplin Michalovce, but they also conceded two defeats against Senica and Podbrezova. Right now Spartak are on 4 points behind the leader Slovan, so they have to increase their level in order to catch up with the leader.

Meanwhile Crvena Zvezda are leading the Serbian Super Liga after four rounds. The team from the capital won all of its four matches so far, beating Dinamo Vranje, Radnicki Nis, Vozdovac and Spartak Subotica. They have an impressive goal difference of 10-1 so far.

These are our predictions football 1×2 for the Champions League qualifying game between Spartak Trnava and Crvena Zvezda.
