Sassuolo bore the debut of Zenga, Tonev with a whole game

Sassuolo’s team beat 2: 1 as host Croton in a match of the 16th round of the Italian Series A. The duel was a debut for Croton’s new mentor Walter Zenga at the head of the team. The former goalkeeper of Skuadra Azzura has voted confidence in the Bulgarian striker Alexander Tonev from the first minute and the former CSKA player Aston Villa and Celtic stayed on the field until the last referee signal, but did almost nothing essential in the meeting.

Edoardo Goldanda scored the first goal in the match. Sassuolo’s defender sent the ball into the net behind Alex Cordas with a great head shot after a left center left Matteo Politano in the 49th minute. In the 61st Mto, the Politano himself made a very beautiful shot by first adjusting the ball to a comfortable shooting, and then with a relentless jerk not leaving odds for Cordas 2-0.

In the 66th minute, Francesco Achebbe scored his own goal and returned Croton in the match, but Tonev and company still did not manage to get at least equal.

A minute before the finish, Alessandro Matri missed an ideal chance to score a goal for Sassuolo. After a defeat of Mario Sampirizis against Matri in the penalty area of Crotone, the referee pointed the white point. Cordas, however, saved Matri’s penalty and the result remained 2: 1, and in the short time until the end he was not changed.

Sassuolo ranks 15th in the standings with 14 points, while Krotone is 17th with 12 points. It was the fourth defeat for Croton in the championship.
