Roma hosts Milan
In one of the derbies of the 9th round of the Serie A, Roma hosts Milan at the Stadio Olimpico in the Italian capital. We will spend some minutes to discuss this great fixture in our soccer matches tomorrow.
Roma are in a really strange run of results lately. They are not losing, but they are not winning as well. In their last four games in all competitions, Paulo Fonseca’s boys have four draws. This is a little bit concerning, because the Wolves would hardly reach their goals if they don’t win on a more regular basis.
In the Serie A Roma are currently 6th in the standings with 13 points. In their last two games they made draws, so surely the goal against Milan on Sunday would be just one – to win. Roma are aware that their opponents are in a difficult situation, so most likely they will go all guns blazing against the Rossoneri.
During the week Roma faced Borussia M’gladbach in Europa League, but once again didn’t win as the game ended with a 1-1 draw.
Meanwhile Milan have started a new era under their new manager Stefano Pioli. He replaced the sacked Marco Giampaolo, but he also started his tenure at the San Siro with a dissapointing 2-2 draw at home against Lecce. At this moment Milan are 12th in the league standings with 10 points, being 6 points behind the 4th Napoli and the Top 4.
Milan are a strange case, because they surely have some really classy players in their squad. Obviously the club can’t find the right manager – it didn’t work with Gennaro Gattuso and obviously it didn’t work with Marco Giampaolo as well. Maybe Stefano Pioli is the right man? We shall see.
That’s what we had to say about the Serie A game between Roma and Milan in our soccer matches tomorrow. Roma are favourites here, but don’t forget that right now they are in a run of four consecutive draws.
