Olympique Marseille looks to the Europa League final

Olympique Marseille’s team is visiting Red Bull Salzburg in the semifinals of the Europa League semifinals. At the first meeting, the French team took a 2-0 draw and was close to reaching the final in Lyon.

The lead of two clean goals seems solid, but the Austrian team has already managed to wipe out a two-goal pass against Lazio in the 1/4-finals. Interestingly, Marseilles removed the other team-sponsored Red Bull team, Leipzig, in the quarterfinals, and today can do so with the second one, which is more directly connected to the energy drink company.

Olympic captain Steve Mandanda is ready to play after training with the group. Coach Rudi Garcia will not risk, but will rely on John Paul Pole, who showed solid play in the first game.

The duel in Salzburg will be under number 58 for the Marseille team in all the tournaments this season, making it an absolute record holder among the five leading European champions. Real Madrid has played 56, including the participation of the Madrid players in the world club championship.
RB Salzburg and Olympique Marseille played with each other in the group stage as well. RB Salzburg wins home 1-0, while the match ends without goals.

Possible configurations:

RB Salzburg: Valke, Lyner, Silva, Caleta-King, Ulmer, Aydara, Samaseku, Berisha, Dabur, Schlager, Juan-Chi Chan.

Olympic Marseille: Pele, Amavi, Luis Gustavo, Rami, Sar, Sonson, Lopez, Okampus, Piel, Toven, Mitroglu.
