Officially: Tavecio gives power to Italian football, elections up to 90 days
Carlo Tavecio resigned as president of the Italian Football Federation. This happened today at noon, at an emergency meeting of the headquarters in Rome. The calcio is now upside-down after Skuadra Adzura failed to qualify for the World Cup in Russia next summer. The failure of Italian nationalists has been the first for 60 years. The unprecedented decade of crisis has led to Taviekio’s resignation. The Apennines report that the next new federal election will take place within 90 days.
“I’m sorry, I’m leaving because I lost, I apologize to all the Italians, I mean that the ambitions of some and the political speculation have prevented us from searching for the reasons for this result, and I notice a change in some of my colleagues,” said Taviekio.
