Monaco is the first League Cup semi-finalist

The Monaco team is the first semi-finalist in the League Cup tournament in France. This happened after a 2: 1 success as a guest on Nice in the clash between the two teams in the 1/4-final phase. Exactly for the Monegas were Toma Lemmar in the 3rd and Adam Diacabi in the 37th minute. The hosts scored Alasan Plea in the 18th minute.

The meeting started more than well for the guests of the Allianz Riviera. Already in the 3rd minute Balde Keita received a pass in the penalty area and with a soft center sent the ball to Toma Lemmar, who headed her in the door for 0: 1.

In the 13th minute, Lemmar blasted a second goal for the Monegasque, but was not properly counted for ambush.

At the 18th minute, the hosts still reached the leveling. Paula received a pass, flipped a defender, and scored in the door. There was doubt about ambush at the goal but after the VAR intervention, the hit was recognized.

But in the 37th minute Monaco returned the lead in the result. Balde Keita knocked it over in the right, and Diacabi’s free kick made it 1 – 2 for the ball.

In the second half Nice did everything possible to achieve equality. In the 64th minute Pierre Lees-Mello missed the best opportunity for his team. He was literally found on an empty door, but his head shot away from the door.

So Monaco holds the victory and is already waiting to learn the name of his next rival in the race. The Monegas are a finalist last year, losing the final match 1: 4 from Paris Saint-Germain. That’s why they will be hoping this season will be able to rebound to their fans and raise the trophy.
