Finally joy for Hannover

The series of 5 consecutive losses to Hannover 96 is already in the past. AndrĂ© Brightenrer’s team pleased fans with a 2: 1 victory over Werder (Bremen) and came close to a point from the “Bremen musicians.” The hosts scored their shot before the break with Martin Harnik and Felix Klaus goals, and Ishak Belfodil’s goal in the 74th minute did not save Werder from the loss.

In the 17th minute, Harnik outpaced the visitors’ central defenders after a good flank attack and found a gap between the beam and the hand of goalkeeper Jarjie Pavlevka. Mickey Albornoz left the back, helping Hanover’s offensive players throughout the game.
Werder took the initiative and several times failed to equalize. Instead, in the 42nd minute the hosts came to a second goal. Marvin Bakalotz hit the beam, but the ball went to Klaus’s foot and he did not make a mistake.

Over the second half Werder had more positions. In the 74th minute, Belfodil scored a beautiful goal with his head, but a little later, he was alone against goalkeeper Philip Tschwner, the striker could not bring the point of the team from Bremen.
