Chelsea convinced who the defender is the future
Chelsea central defender Andreas Christensen signed a new contract with the club for four and a half years after making impressive matches this season and a good rental period in Germany.
The 21-year-old Dane swung 22 matches for the English champions, virtually cemoring his titular status in the defense of Antonio Conte.
Christensen returned to Chelsea before the start of the season after two years of rental in Borussia (Mönchengladbach) and the manager appointed him as the heir to John Terry.
“I feel very good at the club and the new contract guarantees me Chelsea security in the future, and I have played a lot of games this year, and I hope we will work even better with the rest of the team,” said the defender , who is also a national of Denmark and will play at the World Championship in Russia.
He scored for the 5-1 win over the Republic of Ireland in the second playoff between the two sides.
