Celta Vigo faces Osasuna

Celta Vigo faces Osasuna at the Balaidos in a game from the 19th round of La Liga. This is a perfectly fine moment for us to offer you our La Liga predictions for this clash.

The only thing Celta needs right now is points. The club is in the relegation zone of the Spanish league, being 18th with 14 points. Celta have won just 3 of their games so far and they are in a really difficult position. For a second consecutive season Celta are fighting for survival and every point won until the summer is going to be crucial for them.

Before the winter break Celta suffered their 10th loss for the season. Oscar Garcia’s team travelled to Valencia to face Levante, but lost the game with 1-3. Iago Aspas successfully opened the score for Celta with an early goal, but in the second half Levante scored three times and turned the game in their favour.

On Sunday Celta will host Osasuna without some missing players. Jorge Saenz, Junca, Claudio Beauvue and Sergio Alvarez are all injured and missing the the next game.

Osasuna are doing better so far, despite of the fact that they are newcomers to the league this season. The club from Pamplona is 12th in the standings with 23 points, being pretty solid so far. Their record in La Liga at the moment goes like this: 5 wins, 8 draws and 5 defeats.

Before the winter break Osasuna lost for a second consecutive time in the league. Arrasate’s boys hosted Real Sociedad at El Sadar and scored three goals, but it was not enough even for a win because La Real won the game with 4-3. It was Aridane and Ezequiel Avila twice who scored for the hosts.

Osasuna’s Facundo Roncaglia was sent off in this game against Sociedad, so the Argentine defender won’t be avaliable for the visit to Vigo.

That’s our La Liga predictions for the match between Celta Vigo and Osasuna on Sunday. Celta are desperate for points right now, but Osasuna are the better team at the moment. It’s going to be interesting.
