Burnley hosts Brighton & Hove Albion

Burnley hosts Brighton & Hove Albion at the Turf Moor in a match from the first round of the Premier League. Stay with us and our best soccer predictions for today for this fixture. Let’s go!

Burnley start another season in the Prem under the management of their iconic head coach Sean Dyche. It was not always easy, but so far Dyche is doing his job well enough to keep the club in the elite division. He’s surely one of the most successful managers in Burnley’s history and now the fans expect another solid season from their favorite team.

On the summer transfer market Burnley made an exciting signing as they paid 14 million euro to Stoke City for the 20-years old Irish centre-back Nathan Collins. Obviously Collins is not a complete player yet because of his age, but the club is looking at him as a solid prospect for the future. He’s a talented defender who could turn out to be an important player for Burnley in the future.

The club signed two players as free agents, too. The centre-back Jacob Bedeau and the experienced goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey arrived at the Turf Moor as well. Meanwhile Burnley said goodbye to the centre-back Ben Gibson who chose to sign with the Premier League newcomers Norwich City. At the same time Robbie Brady left the club as a free agent.

Brighton & Hove Albion start the 2021/22 season with the same goal in mind as Burnley – surviving for at least one more season. The Seagulls will try to use the experience they gained in the last few years to complete this mission. They are still managed by Graham Potter who arrived at the club in 2019.

On the summer market Brighton & Hove Albion had to say goodbye to one of their best players – the centre-back Ben White. The 23-years old made the next step in his career as he signed a contract with Arsenal. Meanwhile the Seagulls managed to get a transfer fee of 50 million pounds for him.

Brighton & Hove found a way to reinforce the team as well. The club paid 23 million euro to RB Salzburg for the midfielder Enock Mwepu who must bring some energy and physics to the midfield. Mwepu made some great performances in the Austrian Bundesliga and now we want to see him in the Premier League as well.

One more player arrived in Brighton as well. This is the Dutch goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen who is a product of the famous youth academy of Ajax. He’s just 21-years old, so most likely he’s seen as a prospect for the future.

That’s the best soccer predictions for today for the Premier League clash between Burnley and Brighton & Hove Albion at the Turf Moor. These both teams know each other from the previous few seasons, so we don’t think they are going to surprise each other very much. It’d be interesting to see their new signings in action, though – and the summer market is not closed just yet.
