Atalanta – Roma

After winning four of their last Serie A games, Roma are dreaming once again that the miracle could happen and they could beat Juventus for the Serie A title. Yes – it looks very difficult to think that anyone could take the title from Juve’s hands, but so far Roma are looking like the only team capable of doing it.

I Giallorossi are enjoying some great time under the manager Luciano Spalletti. The team from the capital scored 13 goals in their last five games and won four of them, surprisingly losing points only against Empoli. This allowed Roma to take the second place in the Serie A, falling with four points behind the leader Juventus.

In the last round of the Serie A Roma beat Bologna with 3-0 at the Olimpico. It was a one man show for the Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, who proved to be in an amazingly good form at the moment. It’s safe to say that Salah is going to be one of Roma’s main weapons for the visit of Atalanta this weekend.

Speaking of Atalanta, they are one of the positive surprises in the Serie A this season. Led by the experienced Gian Piero Gasperini, the team from Bergamo is currently holding the 5th place in the Serie A, leaving teams like Napoli, Fiorentina, Torino and Inter behind. It’s a really great season for Atalanta so far, so it’s curious to see how they will continue to perform until the very end.

Just like Roma, Atalanta are performing greatly in the last five rounds, winning four consecutive times and not losing even once.

Because of both teams’ performance lately, we should expect a really competitive game at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia in the city of Bergamo. Both teams are motivated to chase the best possible position in the standings, so they will both be very motivated to win.
