Arsenal – Swansea

Five wins in a row. Arsenal are officialy the team in the best form in the Premier League right now. The Gunners started the new campaign without a win in the first two matches, but Arsene Wenger’s team quickly found an inspiration and five consecutive wins followed. Now Arsenal are just two points behind the leader Manchester City, so everything at the Emirates Stadium looks pretty good at the moment.

This weekend Arsenal welcomes Swansea in London and everybody expects to see a sixth straight win for the Londoners. And if Arsenal is the team in form in England right now, we could hardly say this about Swansea. The Swans managed to record just one win in the first seven rounds of the league and they lost four of their last five games. Logically this led to the sacking of Francesco Guidolin, who was replaced by the former manager of USA’s national team Bob Bradley.

Now the experienced American will have the difficult task to debut against Arsenal at the Emirates, but at least the managerial change should bring back some inspiration among Swansea’s players. Will the team look better in Bob Bradley’s first game or he will need more time to bring some changes, it remains to be seen.

Arsenal are the clear favourites to take the three points, but you should know that sometimes the new managers bring new life to the clubs they were appointed at. You should have this in mind, because Bob Bradley’s Swansea could be nothing like Guidolin’s Swansea. Of course, he could need some time to do the magic, but most probably Arsenal will have to deal with more motivated and inspired version of Swansea. This doesn’t mean that The Gunners can’t get the three points, but they should not expect a walk in the park.
